There are two ways to renew/take up membership of the Youth Coalition of the ACT:

  1. Continue online, select a membership type, register on the website and proceed to checkout. (All memberships, all costs). 
    OR
  2. Download and fill out the PDF application form and return together with payment to the Youth Coalition of the ACT

Membership Fees

Membership fees are based an organisation’s total revenue, this includes things such as private or government grants, donations, fund raising proceeds or membership fees, etc.

Membership can be paid by way of direct deposit (bank details at the top of this form), online here, or by cheque sent with a completed downloaded application form to the PO Box address at the top of the form.

All prices are inclusive of GST.  Cheques are payable to the Youth Coalition of the ACT.  For more information on Youth Coalition activities, strategies and principles please visit our website at www.youthcoalition.net

Individual

Individual members are entitled to one vote at any general meeting of the Coalition, are eligible to nominate for any office or position on the Board and have access to member services and events at discount rates. An individual member under 18 years of age is not eligible to nominate for election to the Board.

Associate                       

Associate membership is open to government agencies, interstate organisations, ethical for-profit organisations, organisations who work with young people and other individuals. Associate members are entitled to be present or be represented at any general meeting of the Coalition and are entitled to full speaking rights but no voting rights.

Organisational

Organisational membership is open to all community based not for profit organisations who work with or on behalf of young people. Organisational members are entitled to two delegates each of whom has full voting rights at any general meeting of the Coalition and are eligible to nominate a person for election to any office or position in the Coalition. If an organisation operates more than one youth related program the organisation may apply for an additional membership which will carry the right to a further two delegates at any general meeting of the Coalition. There is no additional charge for this 2nd membership. Organisational members have access to member services and events at discount rates.

  • Youth Led Organisations (if unfunded) - Nil
  • Reciprocal Members (Peak Bodies Only) - Nil
  • Income < $100,000 - $130.00
  • Income $100,000 - $250,000 - $200.00
  • Income $250,000 - $500,000 - $250.00
  • Income $500,000 - $1,000,000 - $300.00
  • Income $1,000,000 - $5,000,000 - $350.00
  • Income > $5,000,000 - $450.00

Registering as an organisation allows you to provide program details for all of the organisation’s youth related programs. Programs listed will receive notification of member services and events. General membership correspondence will still be sent to the nominated organisational contact person.

The Youth Coalition is the peak youth affairs body in the ACT and is responsible for representing the interests of people aged between 12 and 25 years of age, and those who work with them.
